Developmental Delay

This category can be used for young kids (3-9 years old) who are late in meeting developmental milestones like walking talking and areas of cognition.

Specific Learning Disability (SLD)

This evaluation helps identify if a child has difficulties in specific areas of learning, such as reading, writing, or math, despite effort and access to quality instruction. We look for patterns of strengths and weaknesses to understand how the student’s strengths can be utilized to remediate weaknesses and understand how best to support their learning.

Intellectual Disability (ID)

This evaluation is used to determine if a child has significant limitations in intellectual functioning (like reasoning and problem-solving) and adaptive behavior (such as practical, everyday skills). It helps us understand how to support their learning and development effectively.

Dyslexia

This evaluation is used to identify dyslexia, a specific learning disability that affects reading and related language-based processing skills. We assess their reading and cognitive abilities to provide the right strategies and interventions to help them succeed.

Dysgraphia

Dysgraphia is a learning disability that affects writing. It can make it difficult for your child to write legibly and organize their thoughts on paper. Signs include messy handwriting, poor spelling, and slow writing speed.

An evaluation can identify specific challenges and help create a personalized plan to support your child's writing skills, boosting their confidence and academic performance.

Orthopedic Impairment (OI)

With documentation from a doctor, this evaluation determines if a child has physical disabilities that significantly impact their ability to move or perform motor activities. We evaluate their needs to provide appropriate support and accommodations.

Other Health Impairment (OHI)

With documentation from a doctor, this evaluation is used to determine if a child has health conditions (such as ADHD or chronic illnesses) that limit their strength, energy, or alertness, and impact their learning. We assess their needs to ensure they receive the most appropriate support and accommodations.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

With documentation from a doctor, this evaluation helps identify if a child has experienced a brain injury that affects their learning and behavior to the degree specialized instruction is recommended. We evaluate the impact of the injury to provide targeted support and interventions.

Consult Services

We offer consultation services to review and help you understand existing evaluations and ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) paperwork. We can provide guidance on interpreting the findings and recommendations to ensure your child receives the best support possible.
